On July 15, Puerto Rico will lead the way for tourist destinations by reopening for outside travelers. The Puerto Rico Tourism Company has worked closely with government officials to create a smooth experience for tourists returning to the island. For example, tourists can skip the mandatory 14-day quarantine period by providing proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
As you know, the tourism and travel industry has been forced to rapidly adjust to COVID-19. I’ve enjoyed reading your coverage of this in your WSJ column, The Middle Seat. As we move into reopening phases, I am sure much of your coverage will be focused on how destinations are handling their reopening.
