MEDIA ADVISORY: Puerto Rico Will Reopen for Travelers On July 15

What: After being closed to outside travelers for months due to COVID-19, Puerto Rico will reopen for tourists.

When: July 15, 2020

Who: Tourists and outside travelers can once again visit the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Local residents are free to visit all local attractions starting immediately.

Why: Puerto Rico is moving into Phase 3 of the recovery plan created by Governor Wanda Vázquez Garced. Part of this phase includes the relaxation of travel restrictions.

How: Puerto Rico has created extensive health and safety protocols to ensure the safety of both residents and visitors. Travelers will have their temperature checked at the airport. Visitors who can provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test will be able to skip the mandatory 14-day quarantine period for outside visitors.
